New Vicar arrives

17 May 2019

All Saints Highams Park was over-flowing on the evening of Thursday 16th May 2019 as the congregation and community gathered for the collation, induction and installation of the Revd Malcolm Porter as the new Vicar of All Saints' Highams Park.

The service was conducted by the Venerable Elwin Cockett, Archdeacon of West Ham, and the Revd Paul Harcourt, Vicar of All Saints' Woodford Wells. Many members of the church congregation played a role in the service, presenting Malcolm with gifts to represent the different aspects of his ministry.

There were over 200 guests in attendance including the Mayor of Waltham Forest, Cllr Sally Littlejohn, Gordon Turpin from the Highams Park Planning Group, Phil Grundy, the Principal of Highams Park Secondary School, Councillor Geoffrey Walker, Revd Lesley Goldsmith (St Edmund's Chingford), Revd Rosemary Eaton (Highams Park Baptish Church) and representatives from the 1st Highams Park Scouts; all of those listed bringing greetings to the new vicar.

Afterwards, guests retired to the All Saints' Hall for refreshments and fellowship.
